While any two adults can WooHoo with each other, pregnancy can occur only when a male and female sim WooHoo. The start of a pregnancy is heralded by a characteristic melody. WooHooing is not guaranteed to produce a pregnancy, and the exact rate of success is currently unknown. Only female sims can get pregnant, although the male parent will share some of the child-related buffs. Pregnancy lasts about two days.
During this time the pregnant sim will have a gradually swelling belly, but the sim will walk as though heavily pregnant from the very first moments. A mother-to-be receives the " Pregnant " buff which ends with childbirth. Friendship stages work largely the same. Move the relationship bar through interacting, and when it reaches certain levels your Sim will forge a relationship with the other. If you're doing largely friendly interactions, they will be friends.
Romantic Interests can spawn if your Sim puts the moves on the other. In order to unlock more powerful social interactions, you need to start with the basic ones. Roughly every 3 interactions the context of the conversation will improve -- see the other Sim's opinion by looking in the top-left of the screen.
If you start with a few romantic interactions like Woo and Bestow Favor, you'll eventually be able to Kiss as the heat turns up. So, we might be looking for at least 6 interactions to unlock Woohoo, but only if they are interested in your Sim. The more romantic options like Ask to Court, and Propose Marriage must be selected after you've used interactions a number of times.
The progression goes like this, from lowest station to highest:. The classes are hereditary, as is their occupation well, for first-born sons at least , and every class has certain requirements for what they are allowed to do and own. As the city gets bigger, the options of occupations grow. Starting out, peasants live in hovels with poor furniture and a small source of income through fishing, foraging, raising poultry or pigs, mining, or woodcutting.
Yeomen have more options and a larger house and budget. The merchants can own large community businesses. The gentry and nobility generally make money off of owning community lots or peasants. Classes can also enter maxis or custom careers but can only achieve certain levels in them for peasants, for yeomen and gentry, for nobility. The options of these increase as the city grows.
